    Facing the Music

    Toyota Corporate Headquarters, Torrance, CA

    Greg performed his Facing the Music performance art for Toyota Corporation’s executives and employees at the Company’s headquarters facility in Torrance, CA. This event marked Toyota’s celebration of Black History Month and Greg performed 3 times, creating 3 unique paintings that were auctioned.

    MusiCares Person of the Year honoring Paul McCartney

    Los Angeles Convention Center

    MusiCares Person of the Year honoring Paul McCartney. The Grammy Foundation’s MusiCares charity honored legendary artist and former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney as its Person of the Year at the annual gala that was two days before the Grammy Awards. For the 4rd consecutive year, Greg was asked to present a portrait of the honoree that was displayed and auctioned at this star studded event. Greg’s paintings of the three prior year’s honorees, Neil Young and Neil Diamond, were displayed and auctioned, raising thousands of dollars for MusiCares.

    K-Earth 101 FM Bugstock this SUNDAY. Greg performed at this event featuring classic rock bands, classic VW Beetles and many other activities. Greg performed his ‘Facing the Music’ onstage with 2 live paintings that were commissioned by K-Earth to hang in their studio/offices on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.

    Solo exhibition of large canvases

    Walter's Mercedes Benz, Walter's Automotive Group, Riverside, CA

    Solo exhibition of large canvases, featuring paintings from Greg’s ‘Icons of Music’ series, as well as some of his abstract works from another ongoing series which explores relationships, love and loss. This solo exhibition is an opportunity to view a collection of Greg’s works in one setting and will run through mid-August.

    Facing the Music

    Fender Center, Corona, CA

    Greg performed his ‘Facing the Music’ at the Fender Center in Corona for a fundraising event hosted by the Rotary Club. With an audience of 1,000, including dignitaries such as a U.S. Congressman, Greg’s fast paced performance brought a strong reception from the crowd and his finished painting was auctioned for several thousand dollars to benefit charitable causes.

    The Fab Four

    Starlight Bowl, Burbank, CA

    The Fab Four. Greg performed at a concert, opening for the headliners, The Fab Four, the most widely known and highly respected Beatles tribute group. This concert was sold out with approx. 4,200 seats and was one of the largest audiences to witness Greg’s Facing the Music performance art. His 11 minute painting of John Lennon brought a huge ovation from the audience.

    L.A. Guitar Festival, Aug. 24th Greg performed on the main stage at this event featuring some of the premier guitar musicians in the music industry, including at least two grammy recipients and platinum selling artists.

    Greg performed his ‘Facing the Music’ for a group of Olympic Committee officials, Chinese Olympic Committee officials and other dignitaries. Greg created one live performance painting at this private, black tie event at the London Waldorf Astoria, plus he created a commissioned painting in advance that was unveiled at the event.

    Riverside County Lincoln Club- Greg performed at this annual event that was attended by local, statewide and national elected leaders, including guest of honor and keynote speaker, Congressman Kevin McCarthy, the current Majority Whip in the U.S. House of Representatives. In addition to Greg’s 12 minute performance in which he created a 6 foot portrait of President Reagan, Greg also was on hand for the unveiling and presentation of his studio portrait of the keynote speaker, Rep. McCarthy.

    Muralthon during Riverside's Long Night of Arts and Innovation

    Muralthon at Riverside Art Museum, Riverside, CA

    Muralthon during Riverside’s Long Night of Arts and Innovation. The City of Riverside held this inaugural event patterned after similar events in Europe. Riverside Art Museum participated with a number of events, including a Muralthon, featuring Gregory Adamson who completed a 19.5 foot abstract mural in one, continuous session, beginning around 6 p.m. Greg worked continuously through the night and called the painting finished around 8:00 the next morning. This event was broadcast via a live Webcast on the internet until approximately midnight. The completed mural is still on display at the Riverside Art Museum.

Due to the COVID pandemic, all of Gregory Adamson’s live performances and other in-person appearances have been postponed or cancelled until further notice. He does post regularly to Facebook and Instagram and also does live streaming painting demonstrations and classes, primarily on Facebook.
