Exhibit at Frankie's Steak and Seafood
August 2008 through February 1, 2009 (Reception was held Oct. 12, 2008)- Exhibit at Frankie’s Steak and Seafood, Temecula, CA. This is perhaps Temecula’s most upscale, elegant dinner venue. The restaurant was exquisitely designed to stage fine arts exhibits. Greg accepted an invitation to exhibit a number of large canvases with images of popular musicians, including Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Miles Davis, Diana Krall, Louis Armstrong and Ray Charles. Virtually all of the paintings were created specifically for this exhibit and range in size from 3’by 4′ up to 5′ by 6′. This exhibit will continue through January, 2009. MusiCares event honoring Neil as the Grammy Foundation's Person of the Year
Los Angeles Convention Center
February 6, 2009 Neil Diamond Portrait- Greg’s double portrait of Neil Diamond was auctioned at the MusiCares event honoring Neil as the Grammy Foundation’s Person of the Year. MusiCares raises funds for struggling musicians. This annual event takes place two days before the Grammy awards and will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Annual Gala for Loma Linda University Children's Hospital at Riverside Convention Center
Loma Linda University Children's Hospital annual Gala at Riverside Convention CenterApril 5, 2009 Greg performed at the annual Gala for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital at Riverside Convention Center. The theme for this event was ‘Miracles in the Marketplace’. Greg created two live performance paintings that celebrated the theme of children and a Moroccan Market. This Black Tie event raised more than $700,000 for the Hospital.

April 11 – May 9, 2009 Finding Your Creative Stroke, at University of California Extension. Greg will teaching this 5 week, art making course that encourages students to find their own artistic voice. Students will experiment with a variety of mediums and processes designed to unlock their creativity.

Riverside Banner ARTventure
City of Riverside - outdoor public art exhibition
Riverside Banner ARTventure – Greg’s painting reproduced on 3 large outdoor banners to be displayed in Riverside through the Summer, 2009. Greg’s banner art, titled Riverside’s Legends of Song is a tribute to Etta James and Little Richard who have both called Riverside home. These legendary performers are a fitting subject for Greg’s contribution to the exhibition, given the important influence of music in his own work. The original painting depicted in the banners will be auctioned at an event to be held at Riverside Art Museum on May 28, beginning at 6:00 PM.

Magic of Believing
Jefferson Transitional Programs
Magic of Believing; Greg performed at this event to promote the Art Works program and gallery of Jefferson Transitional Programs(JTP). This event also recognized Greg for his nearly 20 years of service as a volunteer board member by presenting him with the innaugural Jeffrey Adams Award. The mistress of ceremonies for the evening was Mary Parks from KNBC Channel 4 News and the honorary chair will be Mike Gardener, Riverside City Councilman. JTP is a nonprofit organization that provides a number of programs for people who have a mental health diagnosis to empower them in their recovery. JTP recently opened its new Art Works center in Riverside that offers various programs of recovery through arts.

United Way Celebration
Riverside Convention Center
United Way Celebration. Greg participated as one of 5 local ‘celebrities’ to be auctioned off. More specifically, a private lunch with Greg was auctioned to the highest bidder. No kidding. This black tie optional ‘Evening of Elegance’ was hosted by United Way of the Inland Valleys as a celebration of the results of its 2008 campaign.

Workshop: All About Color

Workshop: Greg taught a Saturday painting workshop for a group of aspiring artists at the Art Works Gallery of Jefferson Transitional Programs. The title of this workshop was “All About Color”. Greg shared his ideas about color and demonstrated how he utilizes a bold palette to construct his very intensely colored works.

Corona Art Association Member's Art Exhibition: 'A Few of My Favorite Things'
Greg was invited by the Corona Art Association to judge its holiday themed, members’ art exhibition, titled ‘A Few of My Favorite Things.’ This exhibit opened on November 9th and was scheduled to run through December. Art Day at LLUCH
Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, Loma Linda, CA
Art Day at LLUCH. Greg led an art making activity with the kids to create a heart themed mural that will be displayed at the Hospital’s annual fundraising gala in February 2010. Loma Linda Univ. Children’s Hospital performs life saving miracles for children with severe ilnesses. Greg is honored to have the opportunity to perform his art for the kids and participate in making creative expression an important component of their healing path.

B.B. King concert
B.B. King Concert, Coussoulis Arena, Cal State University, San Bernardino
B.B. King concert. Greg performed at a concert, featuring legendary blues musician, B.B. King. Greg created a live performance painting of Mr. King on stage at this concert event. That painting was auctioned for a substantial sum with proceeds benefitting a scholarship fund. Greg also presented B.B. King with a studio portrait of the performer which Mr. King graciously accepted and even asked Greg to sign the painting for him. This painting was a thank you gift to the legend from the event promoter and Greg. Lastly, B.B. signed two giclee prints of Greg’s painting to be retained by the University.

Festival of Trees
Riverside Convention Center
Festival of Trees. Greg was a guest judge for this annual event that raises hundreds of thousands $$ for the Riverside County Regional Medical Center. Designers create 50 uniquely decorated Christmas trees in 8 ft. square vignettes. These original creations are sponsored by local businesses and are judged in 9 different categories.
Due to the COVID pandemic, all of Gregory Adamson’s live performances and other in-person appearances have been postponed or cancelled until further notice. He does post regularly to Facebook and Instagram and also does live streaming painting demonstrations and classes, primarily on Facebook.
