Press Enterprise – October 16, 2014: TEDx Riverside brought together 20 speakers for an eight-hour marathon of inspiration on Thursday at the Fox Performing Arts Center.
The event was pulled together by local civic leaders, businessmen and educators. It was licensed by TED, a 30-year-old nonprofit with a mission of “ideas worth spreading.” It holds conferences throughout the world to encourage a convergence of technology, design and entertainment.
The “x” in the title stands for “independently organized TED event.”
