On January 24, 2014, Carole King is honored as the 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year. This benefit gala is held during Grammy Week, just before the 56th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Artist Gregory Adamson created this 4 ft. by 4 ft. portrait that is to be featured at the MusiCares event honoring Carole King for her extraordinary creative accomplishments as well as her significant charitable work over the years. Adamson’s acrylic painting on canvas will be auctioned at the completion of the evening and is expected to raise thousands of dollars for MusiCares which helps struggling musicians. This is the 6th consecutive year in which Mr. Adamson has created an original portrait painting of the MusiCares honoree. Those prior honorees are Neil Diamond, Neil Young, Barbara Streisand, Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen.
